A total of 14 wheat samples were collected from local grain elevators.  All samples were analyzed for gamma-emitting radionuclides and ⁹⁰Sr.  Cesium-137 was detected in the sample from American Falls at a level of 3.3 ± 3.1 pCi/kg (dry) (0.12 ± 0.11 Bq/kg [dry]). The concentration fell within the range of values measured during the past 10 years.
